How Do I Visit an Inmate in the Kent County Correctional Facility?

Inmates in the Kent County Correctional Facility can receive professional and personal visits in accordance with the inmate visitation rules. For personal visits, interested persons must schedule visits 24 hours beforehand at the kiosk or through the approved third-party site. Inmates can receive visits any day of the week. However, general population and administrative restrictive unit inmates can only receive one visit weekly and a maximum of two visitors per session. Visit schedules are as follows:

Monday to Friday:

8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday:

8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Visitation rules for personal visits include:

  • Juvenile inmates can only receive visits from persons on the approved visitor’s list.
  • All visitors must check-in at least 20 minutes before the appointed time. Frequent latecomers may be banned.
  • All visitors must keep the dress code. No halter tops, tank tops and dresses, low cut tops or dresses, high cut shorts, and above-the-knee slits allowed in the facility
  • No visitor under the influence of drugs or alcohol allowed
  • All visitors must remain seated during the visit
  • No food, drinks, chewing gum, lighter, matches, or tobacco products allowed within the facility
  • No recording device, camera, or cell phone permitted in the visitation area
  • Visits can be canceled by KCCF staff at any time, without notice.
  • Professional visitors cannot use their privileges to visit a relative. This will count as a regular visit.
  • The legal guardian, parent, or supervising adult must not leave children unattended in the visitation or accounting lobby area.
  • Visitors under 18 years of age cannot schedule visits by themselves and must be accompanied by an adult
  • Working trustees can receive up to three weekly visits and two visitors per session.
