Interested parties may use the MSP's sex offender registry to find statewide details of registered sex offenders. The registry allows interested persons to search by providing a first name, last name, address, and zip code. Users may also specify the address type or search for non-compliant offenders. The registry displays offenders' full names, aliases, registration number, risk level, and physical description. The search results also show offense information, current status, and a photograph. How Do I Visit an Inmate in the Dearborn City Jail?

Prospective visitors may call (313) 224-2222 to schedule visits. The WCSO operates three detention facilities, including the following:

  • Division I Jail (Andrew C. Baird Detention Facility)
  • Division II Jail (Old Jail)

Inmates may only receive visitors listed on their authorized visitation lists. Each inmate is allowed up to six names of persons who are at least 17 years old. A younger person may only visit in the company of an adult who must supervise the minor at all times. Each visit may not last longer than 30 minutes. Visitors must provide one of the following means of identification:

  • Michigan identification card or driver's license
  • Federal military identification card or passport.

Divisions I and II run visitations in three sessions from Mondays through Fridays. Division I visitation times are from 7:30 am to 10:30 am, 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm, and 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. In the Division II Jail, visits are from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm, and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Inmate visitation days are scheduled according to the first letter of each inmate's last name. For Divisions I and II, visitations take place on Mondays (A-C), Tuesdays (D-H), Wednesdays (I-M), Thursdays (N-S), and Fridays (T-Z). Note that inmate workers in the Division I Jail may only receive visitors on Saturdays at the above visiting hours.

Division III Jail inmates may receive inmates according to their housing floor. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays are reserved for the first floor. Third-floor inmates may receive visitors on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. CMU visits are restricted to Fridays and should be scheduled through the Psych Social Worker.
