What are Livonia City Public Records?

The Michigan State Police (MSP) provides annual crime statistics for all cities in the state. Figures reported in 2019 show 166 violent crimes, including 22 rape cases 17 robberies, and 127 aggravated assault incidents. The total number of property crimes was 1,444, including 129 burglaries and 119 motor vehicle thefts. Larceny was the most common crime, with 1,196 cases. Along with 7 reported arsons, the total number of Part 1 crimes in 2019 was 1,617. The MSP's report also showed 3,366 Part 2 crimes, bringing the city's total to 4,983. Compared with the 5,693 crimes recorded in 2018, the 2019 number shows a 12.47% reduction in crime.

Are Livonia City Criminal Records Public?

How Do I Visit an Inmate in the Livonia City Jail?

The WCSO manages three detention facilities that house countywide offenders. The facilities include the:

  • Division I Jail (Andrew C. Baird Detention Facility)
  • Division II Jail (Old Jail)
  • Division III Jail (William Dickerson Detention Facility)

Eligible visitors should be at least 17 years old or be accompanied by an adult. Visitation days and times vary between facilities. Division I and Division II visitations take place on Mondays through Fridays, according to the first initial of the inmate's last name. The schedule is as follows:

  • Tuesdays: D to H
  • Wednesdays: I to M
  • Thursdays: N to S
  • Fridays: T to Z

On each day, Division I visits take place from 7:30 am to 10:30 am, 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm, and 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Division II visits are from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm, and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Friends and family may visit the Division III Jail according to each inmate's housing floor. Inmates on the first floor may receive visitors on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays are reserved for inmates on the third floor. CMU visits are only on Fridays in the C-3 visiting area and should be scheduled through the Psych Social Worker.
