To obtain a record copy, occupants must pay a fee. First copies of birth records cost $10, with further copies ordered simultaneously costing $5 each in Alger County. Death certificates in Alger County cost $10 for the first copy and $5 for any extra copy purchased at the same time.

NOTE - A set of guidelines need to be followed for Alger County habitants to access records. The office opens from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday. In Alger County, some form of photo ID is needed to acquire records. State IDs and driver's licenses will do just fine. Only written applications to access public records will be accepted in Alger County.
